The Silk Road Feast is a buffet located within the Westin in Taipei. It features various foods from China, India, Europe, Italy, Japan, Africa and the Middle East. The main course selections I had to choose from was half a lobster, or steak. The lobster looks like it may have been a baby lobster. The steak was different from what I’m used to in the states, and it was definitely the better choice.
The best thing about the buffet was the quality of the shrimp. The worst, according to my cousin, was definitely the milk tea. Someone else mentioned a blue cheese type dessert was horrible, but I wasn’t brave enough to try it.
Overall, the Silk Road Feast manages to be good, but doesn’t quite achieve greatness.
